Schools

The different schools comprising the educational sphere of the Institut del Teatre are in charge of managing, organising and teaching the studies leading to the academic degrees each school is authorised to bestow. The Institut del Teatre groups together four different schools.

There, students can complete combined secondary school and professional dance studies, or they can carry out higher studies in dance, the dramatic arts or performing arts technology:

• Escola Superior d'Art Dramàtic (School of Drama, or ESAD)
  Provides a higher education entitling students to a Master's Degree in Drama, equivalent to a university degree.
  
• Conservatori Superior de Dansa (Dance Conservatory, or CSD)
  Provides a higher education entitling students to a Master's Degree in Dance, equivalent to a university degree.
  
• Escola Superior de Tècniques de les Arts de l'Espectacle (School of Performing Arts Technology, or ESTAE)
  In conjunction with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, this school provides a higher, technical education. The campus, the Centre Territorial del Vallès, is located in the city of Terrassa.
  
• Escola d'Ensenyament Secundari i Artístic / Conservatori Professional de Dansa (Secondary School for the Arts / Professional Dance Academy, EESA / CPD)
  Provides integrated secondary education and dance instruction leading to an intermediate-level specialised dance degree and the General Certificate of Secondary Education.
